ZCater just wrapped up catering for over 24,000 at the US Open of Surfing from July 31st through August 8th.
We would like to congratulate all the dedicated athletes that competed. We sure had a blast.
We began each day with a fresh breath of ocean breeze, and the crashing of the waves before the sun had even risen. By breakfast, the beach was overflowing with thousands of guests, athletes, and media. ZCater provided breakfast lunch and snack for athletes such as Kelly Slater and Luke Davis to Performers like Weezer and Hot Hot Heat and all of the security, crew, and sponsors.
9 Days and 24,000 meals later we were forced to say goodbye to our kitchen on the beach and all of the new friends we made during the event. Each day was a challenge and a success. The entire team here at ZCater is proud and honored to have been chosen for this prestigious event.

Hawaiian Gardens is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is the smallest city in the county (approximately 1.0 mi²) and was incorporated on April 9, 1964. The population was 14,779 at the 2000 census. The town's unusual name originated in a 1920s-era refreshment stand that was decorated with palm fronds and bamboo. It was the then-rural area's main landmark for many years, and its name stuck as the small town grew up around it. As one of seven Los Angeles County cities that allow casino gambling, more than $9.2 million (65%) of the city's revenue comes from Hawaiian Gardens Casino, a card club.
Hawaiian Gardens is located at 33°49′43″N 118°4′25″W / 33.82861°N 118.07361°W / 33.82861; -118.07361 (33.828565, -118.073646). It is bounded by the Los Angeles County cities of Long Beach and Lakewood, and by the Orange County city of Cypress.
