ZCater just wrapped up catering for over 24,000 at the US Open of Surfing from July 31st through August 8th.
We would like to congratulate all the dedicated athletes that competed. We sure had a blast.
We began each day with a fresh breath of ocean breeze, and the crashing of the waves before the sun had even risen. By breakfast, the beach was overflowing with thousands of guests, athletes, and media. ZCater provided breakfast lunch and snack for athletes such as Kelly Slater and Luke Davis to Performers like Weezer and Hot Hot Heat and all of the security, crew, and sponsors.
9 Days and 24,000 meals later we were forced to say goodbye to our kitchen on the beach and all of the new friends we made during the event. Each day was a challenge and a success. The entire team here at ZCater is proud and honored to have been chosen for this prestigious event.

Riverside history:
Riverside is a city in Riverside County, California, United States, and the county seat of the eponymous county. Named for its location beside the Santa Ana River, it is the largest city in the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metropolitan area of Southern California, 4th largest inland California city after Fresno, Sacramento, and Bakersfield, and is located approximately 60 miles (97 km) east of Los Angeles. Riverside is the 61st most populous city in the United States and 12th most populous city in California. As of 2009, Riverside had an estimated population of 300,430. The city spans 78 square miles.
Riverside was founded in the early 1870s and is the birthplace of the California citrus industry as well as home of the Mission Inn, the largest Mission Revival Style building in the United States. It is also home to the Riverside National Cemetery.
The University of California, Riverside is located in the northeastern part of the city. Other attractions in Riverside include the Fox Performing Arts Center, Riverside Metropolitan Museum, which houses exhibits and artifacts of local history, the California Museum of Photography, the California Citrus State Historic Park, and the Parent Washington Navel Orange Tree, one of the two original orange trees in California.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 98.4 square miles (255 km2), of which, 98.1 square miles (222.3 km²) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.7 km²) of it is water. The total area is 0.36% water. The elevation of downtown Riverside is 860 feet. There are some hills within the city limits of Riverside. Riverside is surrounded by small and large mountains, some of which get winter snow.
